May 2017 Entrepreneur Night made yet another appearance at the European Village – this time, hosted at Mojito 101.

Name doesn’t sound familiar?

Maybe you know it as everyone’s favorite authentic Latin restaurant, Burrito 101! Mojito 101 is the brainchild of chefs and owners Lee (from Miami)  and Laura (from Colombia). While it first opened in 2013 as Burrito 101, a small 24 seat restaurant, it has transformed into a successful 150 seat establishment. And thus, their name recently changed to Mojito 101, as they grew and added a full liquor bar, and a wide variety of classic Cuban, Colombian and South American dishes.

This venue surely helped make our 53rd Entrepreneur Night a success! The event attracted a total of 139 people ranging a number of different industries and professions (as Entrepreneur Night tends to do).

But next month an even bigger turn out is expected as we take Entrepreneur Night to DeLand! Here you can RSVP to the next Entrepreneur Night.

Here are some moments from the event:

As we have done in the last few months, we had a survey for those who attended the event. We’ve learned how incredibly telling it is of a business or business owner when you find out what it is they’re putting a premium on.

We took a national poll on twitter asking business owners a single question, and we took advantage of the opportunity to ask those in attendance from our local sphere as well.

132 people participated. Here are the results.

Here are the results of the local poll we took at Entrepreneur Night:

No matter what the national or local average might be, it seems pretty clear that a majority of business owners value generating profit as the most important thing.

We know someone interesting who has something to say on this matter…

What are your thoughts?

Entrepreneur Night is a grassroots event for and by Entrepreneurs, which takes place the last Tuesday of each month – except July, August, and December at a different location and venue. It is free to attend. Complimentary appetizers are provided by the venue hosting the event as well as a cash bar. In each event you can expect to meet many new entrepreneurs, investors and service providers; and have meaningful conversations.
