April’s Entrepreneur Night has been featured in the Daytona Beach News Journal with a terrific article by Aaron London.  The article feaured great quotes, from sponsors Joe Roy of Palm Coast BAC and Ky Ekinci of Office Divvy ™:

“This is such a great boost for what we do at the BAC.  Thanks so much for what you do for Palm Coast and Flagler County.” ~ Joy Roy

“If you have a grass roots campaign for people to start a business, it helps the economy. We see that every day at Office Divvy.” ~ Ky Ekinci

Another great quote was from Jason Johnson, owner of Marlin Consulting Solutions, a Palm Coast web design company:

“An event like this helps to empower and create the key connections to other entrepreneurs in the community.” ~ Jason Johnson

Daytona Beach News Journal LogoThe crowd milling outside Farley’s Irish bar in the European Village complex earlier this week was there for a variety of reasons.

Attendance at the monthly event has grown to more than 100.

“People made some great connections,” Ekinci said “People have started coming from St. Augustine and Daytona. The word is getting out.”

Ekinci said the idea behind getting entrepreneurs together is simple.“It’s a grass-roots event with no obligation and no cost,” he said. “All segments of the business community are coming.”

Ekinci said while there are a lot of events for business owners all over Flagler County, they are mainly focused on the local business community — and that’s as it should be. But Entrepreneur Night is for those with a broader vision, especially the venture capitalists and angel investors event organizers are looking to attract.
