Awesome Venue + Amazing Attendees = Fantastic Entrepreneur Night

Holding Entrepreneur Night at a new venue is always an interesting experience—no matter how fantastic a location a restaurant might be, the event is a one-of-a-kind experience and there’s a certain comfort to places that do a great job.

In March, Lisbon at Night Restaurant and Cafe hosted Entrepreneur Night for their first time, and quickly put any idea about first-time concerns to rest—going above and beyond with their best foot forward in terms of both service and offerings. Management and staff alike did a great job.

Of course, it isn’t just the venue that makes Entrepreneur Night successful!

The event was also a banner night in terms of the attendees who came out to Lisbon. Not only was the event well-attended (which is a fine barometer of success), but the quality of attendees was also top-notch! A lot of first-time attendees also came out, which creates a fantastic vibe as the crowd spilled out into the European Village courtyard.

Assisting with the awesome vibe was Pyramid Disc Jockeys, and the team from presenting sponsor Office Divvy ran the hospitality table and greeted guests old and new alike.

Of course, we also are both thankful and proud of our sponsors: Palm Coast Business Assistance Center, Volusia/Flagler SCORE, CareerSource of Flagler/VolusiaFlagler County Department of Economic Development and Beach FM/WNZF.

Volchek of Virtual Open House serves as the official Entrepreneur Night Videographer and he captured these short moments from the event.  Come on out to the next Entrepreneur Night and see yourself in shots like these!

Entrepreneur SoapBox

It was also a very busy night on our Entrepreneur Soapbox!

The SoapBox is a great, but simple idea with just a few rules: Watch your step on the way up, have something interesting to say and then watch your step on the way down. In recent months, we’ve had some stellar SoapBox videos, but this month may have been some of our most interesting takes yet.

First, here’s Jay Scherr with J. Scott Consulting Services talking about how his company takes small businesses to the next level.

Next up, here’s John Chapman with a new way of looking at insurance companies.

Finally, Danny Scollan pitches his services, helping with a problem many people may not know they have.

We had a lot of awesome SoapBox content to pick from, but we can’t put them all in these posts. Follow Entrepreneur Night on Twitter and Facebook for even more of our videos from this event. Next month, hop up on the SoapBox yourself!

About Entrepreneur Night:

Entrepreneur Night is a grassroots event for and by Entrepreneurs. It takes place the last Tuesday of each month—except July, August, and December. It is always at a different location and free to attend. Complimentary appetizers and a cash bar are provided by the host venue.
